Growers Cider Facebook

“What Western Canada Makes, Makes Western Canada”

The Growers Wine Company was established in 1927 near British Columbia’s Capital City of Victoria in the District of Saanich. The first plant was completed toward the end of 1928 and came into operation to showcase Canadian wines to the world.
The Growers Wine Company was a truly Western Canadian Company, with more than 90 per cent of the company owned
by residents of the four western provinces.

When the company was formed, the goal was to establish British Columbia as one of the world's leading wine centres,
strictly on the basis of its own merits and not through imitation of beverages from other parts of the world.

We’re proud of our heritage, but at the same time we are far from complacent. We remain determined to define
the taste of a great, pure and original cider.
